| "I am pleased to announce that the Sports Hall of Fame's application to gain tax-exempt status under section 501(c)3 of the United States Internal Revenue Code has been approved. Working through the Hall's attorney, David L. Turner of Braun Kendrick, , Finkbeiner P.L.C., the application process has been in motion for about eight months. |

| The application was forwarded to the IRS about February 1st, and it included the Hall of Fame's restated By-Laws and restated Articles of Incorporation in Michigan, which were approved by a vote of its Lifetime Members last November. To complete this process with the State of Michigan, an application has been submitted to the Attorney General's office for a license to solicit charitable contributions and to register as a chairitable trust." |
