*Won the 100 and 220-yard dashes and was a member of the winning 880-yard
relay team - 1973 Led the Trojans to their first state track championship

*Won the "Most Valuable Athlete" Award at the Korf Track Meet

Helped the Volunteers win the NCAA track title as a
freshman Named a nine-time All American in the sprints and sprint relays.

at Tennessee in the 100-yard dash, 100-meters, 220-yard dash and the 200-meters
*Named captain of Tennessee's
track team - 1977
*Two-time winner of the Tony Wilson Memorial Trophy
which was awarded to the Most Valuable Athlete at the
annual Dogwood Relays - 1975-76
*Once listed in the Guinness Book of World records as one of the three
fastest humans
*Made a bid for the 1976 Olympic Games but injuries
forced him to the sideline.
