Jan J. Pope
Jan was born in Saginaw, grew up in Saginaw Township, and attended North and Arthur Hill High School. She ran track and played volleyball for three years at North and played intramural sports at Arthur Hill. After graduation in 1962, Jan attended Delta College for two years where she played tennis and basketball. She played girl's varsity basketball for two years at Alma College where she was co-captain her senior year. She also played intramural softball. She graduated in 1966 with a BA in Education. Jan continued her love of volleyball, basketball, and softball by playing on several teams in the Saginaw and Bridgeport Recreation programs. She and her husband Dick have resided in Bridgeport for many years where they were/are involved with many baseball teams and other community projects.
