Ruth M. Helpap
Ruth was born on December 19th, 1943 in Bay City, Michigan. She attended Garfield and MacGregor primary schools and graduated from Bay City Central High School in 1961. She attended Delta College (A.S.), Saginaw Valley State University (B.S.) and MSU. She married David A. Helpap in 1965, has 3 children - David, Jr., Julia, and Gregory, and 7 grandchildren.
She is a past member of the Junior League of Saginaw and co-chaired
the 'Art Goes to School' program at the Saginaw Art Museum. She has volunteered
with the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of America. She recently retired from
Delta College where she was a Math Instructor and staff tutor on Main Campus
and the Ricker Center. She conducted many workshops on Math and Study Skills,
Test Anxiety, and Test Taking Skills. Presently she is co-owner and Vice-President/Treasurer
of Papio's Food and Spirits in Reese, Mi. and on the Board of Directors of
General Reporting Service.
